Bachelors degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Responsibilities for this Position:General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Product Manager to join our team in the Cyber Security Products (CSP) Line of Business working in our Secure Network Data and Voice Products (SNVP) business supporting our In-Line Network Encryptor (INE) product line.The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. This position provides an opportunity for a product leader to provide cutting edge technology for robust network encryption and cybersecurity products and solutions designed to meet International, Intelligence Communities and Department of Defense users mission objectives. We seek an individual who will provide business leadership to semi-autonomous cross functional teams on new product developments. Central to success will be cross collaboration with Product Line Management (PLM), Sales, Marketing, Finance, Contracts, Engineering, Resource Management, and Manufacturing on business activities. The selected candidate will be the focal point and advocate for assigned product(s) areas to develop, deliver and maintain market-driven products that drive sales and growth. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Oversee all activities for a particular product from definition to development, launch, release, upgrades, and sustainment.Represent the product as the expert and evangelist with knowledge of product specifications and requirements, market and customer/user needs, and market competitionCreate the product road-map with recommended features and enhancements and prioritization of market driven requirements to meet market needs, ROI, Sales and growth objectives.Define business/user requirements for SNVP products and upgradesRecommend the scope of present and future products by reviewing and recommending new ideasDrive product roll-out strategies that drive baselines across the product portfolio by planning, scheduling, estimating, and conducting reviews for individual product releases. Manage and drive internal product releases to execute roll-out commitments including staffing coordination with Engineering Resource ManagementFormulate and execute long-term plans cost/profit controlAct as Government interface for product development support, compliance and releases approvals and certificationsManage Configuration Control Board (CCB) Meetings for developmentsManage contractual agreements for product developments including Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), and export compliance under Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA) with foreign nations Support development of marketing collateralProvide reporting and status to Product Line Management and Executive ManagementSupport Product Line Management in performing:Market Analysis to identify and quantify market needs and identifies opportunities as well as evaluating competitor offeringsStrategic Planning to capture the approach to maximize return from investment in the market and align with available resources and plansProduct Planning to refine scope, schedule of the complete Product PlanRisks and Opportunities are identified and mitigation activities trackedConfiguration Control of the product baselinesProduct Launch (includes preparation and launch execution)Product Life-cycle Management from initial concept through product end of life
