Job Description

The Resource Management and Access group is a dynamic and fast growing development team within EIS. We are building the next generation web applications that will make our Resource Management product suite the indispensable support tools for librarians in the management of their collections including e-journals, eBooks and print resources. We are seeking a Software Engineerthat is proficient in various back-end service and database technologies. They have extensive experience developing scalable restful web services in Java, C# or similar. This role provides an opportunity to establish the technical direction and lead the transformation of the client experience for the Resource Management applications used by our clients. This position calls for an experienced developer who has demonstrated experience in all phases of application development and support in a team environment. This developer should be a self-starter that can handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Additionally, the candidate should display a pattern of continual learning and a desire to broaden their software Primary Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, extend software components to ensure quality and facilitate rapid, reliable deployment of new features for a wide range of EBSCO products, using Agile processes Daily coordination of development and QA activities with cross-functional team Collaborate with the Agile team and product owners to develop high-quality solutions Author well-engineered solutions using test-first/test-driven methodologies Author and review test plans, test cases and scripts to ensure adequate coverage based on requirements Contribute to the architecture and design decisions for the product(s) Participate in the design and development of development infrastructure and tools for the team Automate unit and integration tests to achieve high automated test coverage Assess and incorporate new tools to aid with the development and testing process Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team Contribute to the team s ability to make and deliver on their commitments Contribute to the definition and inspection of quality gates within the build and deployment pipeline Role-Based Competencies: Organization and planning: Plans, organizes, schedules in an efficient, productive manner.
