Job Description

Command Alkon, a global leader in integrated technology solutions to the concrete and construction materials industry for over 40 years, has a unique opportunity to fill a Project Manager role in our Oak Brook IL location. We are searching for a Project Manager that has experience with principles, techniques and tools to manage project schedules, plans, quality, communication, risks, and issues through delivery:
* Directs and coordinates activities of assigned project personnel to ensure project progress on schedule and within budget
* Create and maintain project documentation
* Develops and Maintains a detailed project plan, to include scope and implementation process
* Identify and schedule necessary internal and customer resources
* Identify, coordinate, and work with outside vendors related to the project to ensure on-site readiness
* Coordinate with internal company resources to determine technical environment readiness
* Monitor readiness of projects and adjust schedule as necessary, keeping all parties informed of project status
* Manage Project Schedule
* Manage Project Change Control
* Define and Manage Project Stakeholders
* Define and document customer requirements for modification requests, and propose solutions.
* Develop Project Communication Plan
* Monitor the service issues customers are having during the project life cycle
* Review with customer during Project Closure phase level of satisfaction and project success
* Work with Implementation Manager in determining accurate forecasting for the department
* Serve as a liaison between customer and internal resources during the project life cycle to resolve technical issues
* Facilitates meetings to discuss issues and implementation strategies and solicit alternative points of views, problem solving, and decision making
* Other duties as requested
Required Skills
* +/-25% travel required, domestic and potentially international.
* Bachelor's degree in IT or Business related field preferred
* 4+ years of experience in customer service and/or project management required
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Ability to remain calm and professional in hectic situations
* Ability to work in fast paced environment
* Ability to solve problems effectively and creatively
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
* Knowledge of the construction materials industry
* MS Office suite
* MS Server environments
* Microsoft Project preferred
* Some MS SQL knowledge preferred
* Citrix preferred
