Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master
Rosemont IL
Contract through end of year (extensions likely)

Accountable for using client methodology and Project Management expertise to work across the IT and Business organizations in delivering Project Releases within any of our Functional Verticals.
Manage and communicate ongoing changes in tasks, goals, or performance. Participate in client meetings, contract finalization, and development of requirements and specifications. Manage project budget to reach revenue, cost, and profit targets. Assign resources to projects and project objectives and monitor progress. Develop project plans and facilitate resolution of all issues to reach project goals.

Manages multiple (2-3 mid-sized) projects and potentially multiple work streams within each project
Uses methodology (Agile or Waterfall, as relevant) for system implementation
Authors and owns the project charter definition, product roadmap / vision clarity
Configures and updates Project Management Plan and develops project work effort estimates
Manages project to established capital and expense budgets
Creates / configures projects in SharePoint / JIRA / Confluence for work management and collaboration.
Schedules and facilitates Toll Gates (manages IT stage containment)
Maintains Risk, Next Steps, Issues log
Manages business / stakeholder expectations and communicates to the different levels of the organization as required
Approves Business Requirements as technically complete and gets sign off on Business Requirements from Stakeholders
Manages the defect resolution process, Publishes and maintains change control process
Provides input for performance appraisal of team members
Accountable for delivery of objectives and execution in alignment with commitments
Plays Scrum Master role on Agile projects and traditional Project Manager role on Waterfall projects.
Familiar with backlog grooming, sprint grooming, and other scrum ceremonies
Familiar with road map planning and continuous testing/deployment concept
Conflict resolution, problem-solving skills, skilled at removing impediments and enabling the team
Ability to coach agile practices to individuals and teams
Working knowledge of the product owner role and facilitates ensuring product backlog is groomed to feed the upcoming sprints and keeping the delivery pipeline working optimally

Intimate knowledge of SDLC and demonstrated experience employing SDLC in aspects of the project management process
Demonstrated experience managing large projects with multiple work streams in various stages of development is required
Strong organizational skills, strict adherence to established processes and excellent communication skills is required and paramount to success in this position
4-6 years prior experience in applying proven project management methodologies to large mission critical projects
4-6 years prior experience with using Agile methodology is necessary
Experience managing distributed teams and familiarity using the Atlassian tool suite
Familiarity with managing projects involving data structures, web services, cloud technologies/platforms are a plus
Experience managing and delivering Financial initiatives and / or B2B / B2C initiatives is a plus
Experience using JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint is a plus
Project Management / Scrum Certification from a reputable institution/PMP is desirable
Domain knowledge specific to the food service industry is a plus
