To provide 1st and 2nd level IT desktop support. This entails the effective administration, maintenance and support of desktops hardware, software, associated peripherals in a timely and professional manner and in accordance with agreed SLA s.
Develop and mature the lifecycle and inventory management processes, improve compliance with agreed security standards and drive continual improvement in terms of functionality, cost and overall efficiency.
Install, configure, upgrade, maintain and support desktop systems based on customer service requests.
Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate support teams for resolutions.
Contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work.
Engaging with key stakeholders within IT and the Business to ensure forward strategy aligns with wider needs. In effect, managing the desktop as a service\".
Managing regional standards based on global best practice in relation to user device, inventory and user software management.
SCCM duties in relation to workstation activities including packaging, deployment and publishing of software catalogue.
On-going patch management and monitoring compliance of workstations with agreed policies.
Service improvement and innovation in relation to the laptop/desktop estate.
Helping develop technical capability within the team
Ownership and management of hardware vendors to maximising the value that these relationships provide to Aggreko
Managing small scale technical projects.
Acting as a coduit for Group Security in relation to incremental workstation security enhancements
Creation and maintenance of support documentation
Knowledge of Video Conference Systems (Perferably Polycom)
Indicative performance measures / Key interdependencies:
Adhereance to quality and audit standards
Compliance with workstation security baseline
Maintain key KPI s in accordance with yearly goals and objectives
Degree qualification would be highly desirable. Can substitute experience for education.
MCDST certification is preferred
ITIL accreditation would be an advantage
A+ or Network+ required
Experience of a mature, well governed, process-driven workstation environment, ideally operating on a global scale.
Deep knowledge and experience of Microsoft SCCM and Active Directory
Strong understanding of Windows OS and Microsoft Office within an Enterprise environment including large scale upgrades
Flexibility to travel globally if required.
Proven experience in driving improvement initiatives
Highly technical with a passion for technology
Previous experience working on a large scale regional service desk.
Ability to produce business starnard documentation related to implementation, testing, and self-help guides
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, SCCM, MDM
System imaging using Ghost / SCCM
Strong communication, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
Good team player willing to take ownership and responsibility.
