Our Research and Concept Development (RCD) audaciously explores and demonstrates fundamentally new ways of achieving the compelling customer experiences we strive for. Now, RCD is seeking a technically strong Project Manager to join our team and help drive forth projects in our Advanced Interactive Design Prototyping group. In this role, you will be principally facilitating the work of interactive designers and engineers, from ideation through prototyping of components that can be leveraged by Bose project teams. You must have passion for User Experience and a keen eye and an intuitive understanding of the experiences we seek to provide to our users. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in User Interface projects, and high-level understanding of electrical sensors, embedded systems, and mobile applications. Essential Job Responsibilities: Project Planning and Management Facilitate the definition of project objectives, scope, and schedules while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress updates; manage risks and issues; and inspect and correct changes in plans Team Management Hold teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members Product Owner Support Support the Product Owner in managing stakeholder expectations for project deliverables, supporting or if appropriate, managing stakeholder communications Process Management and Improvement Guide teams in defining, inspecting, and improving team processes in the spirit of Agile principles and lead them in implementing proven best practices for Agile Project Management Team building Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team Qualifications: Solid understanding of project management in an innovation driven setting as well as solid knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit specific projects A proven track record of successfully implementing projects with 5+ years of experience managing complex projects in a high-tech environment with cross-functional teams Familiarity with hardware and software integration Minimum 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies True embodiment of the servant-leader role with the goal of enriching RCD projects Resilience and flexibility Skills Required: BS inEngineering, Computer Science, or UX Design; MS is a plus Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish and maintain high level of RCD leadership and stakeholder trust and confidence Proven ability to lead innovation projects where priorities and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and technical individuals at all levels Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the big picture view Bose is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
