Sr. Demand Shift Analyst

Job Description


As our product assortment continues to change and we work to
move customers to specific product, analytics and processes are needed to shift
the demand from one item to another, highlighting those products that we want
our customers to purchase and ensuring that our customers have suitable
replacements for discontinued products. This position is responsible for
identifying, recommending, influencing, and executing the necessary steps to
ensure those items are prominently displayed and highlighted to our customers
ensuring a high conversion rate and improved margins. Partnership with Product Merchants, inventory
management, and pricing will be of great importance ensuring alignment across
all who support our product assortment. This position is also responsible for
ensuring those concepts and strategies are carried forward with all
acquisitions and newly acquired customers.

Key Responsibilities

category, vendors, and strategies, resulting in a robust review of gaps in
alternate item recommendations taking into account pricing; i. e. product cost,
list price, and sell price. Execute to
those recommendations, shifting demand to those products we want our customers
to purchase, with a special focus on high volume items that have been removed
from the assortment, reducing the number of times customers are dead ended
and recouping lost sales.

results. Creation and management of
analytics tools/databases utilized to drive and analyze all Demand Shift

Manage the
various processes used to shift demand, ensure our websites are in sync and
that the customer is being presented with the same items regardless of the
ordering platform. Identify variances,
in both sku level detail and functionality, partnering with Merchants and
E-Commerce to ensure closing the sku variances and making recommendations on
how to close the functionality gaps.
This includes working cross functionally with Pricing, Inventory
Management, Merchants, and IT to ensure all needs are coordinated and met.

Communication/Interactions: Internal & External
Customers / Suppliers as well as Third Parties

and distribute cross functional communication and reporting to ensure the
information is provided in support of stocking decisions, contract updates,
sales communication, etc.

Act as
lead for training to Merchants and other cross functional teams as needed. This includes producing SOPs and training
documents for all Demand Shift programs.

People Leadership

closely with Category Managers and Product Specialists to educate and assist
with projects/programs associated with Demand Shift. This includes proactively engaging the
merchant team when issues arise, working to educate regarding program updates
and assistance, and providing on-going training as needed.

Education (minimum requirements)

Bachelor s

Professional Knowledge/Experience

experience working with large datasets

of retail merchandising and operations

Other Skills (e. g. specialized training, language
proficiency, functional expertise etc.)

knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with focus on MS Excel and MS Access.
