Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. has an opening for a Manager, Business Applications - System and DevOps Engineer (Ref# MBA815RM).
Work Location: 101 Main Street, Cambridge, MA 02142.
Job Duties: Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and testing of computer software and networks. Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility and performance of architectural designs within time and cost constraints, formulating and designing systems using scientific analysis and modeling to predict and measure outcomes and consequences. Develop and direct computer and network testing procedures (including security, performance, and functional), backup procedures, and documentation. Implement, write, and maintain automation tools to continuously monitor and test the status of critical systems that contain real-world patient data around the world. Own the Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure with a focus on architecture, availability, automation, scaling, performance, and security. Provision, monitor, and scale AWS infrastructure and networking environment. Manage performance testing and security assessment and provide recommendations accordingly. Automate infrastructure and deployments for development, staging, and production environments by developing tools and writing scripts. Conduct Linux administration and scripting in a shell environment. Develop code and shell scripts in a bash environment. Manage release deployment. Automate and validate backup procedures. Administer GitHub source code repositories. Inspect network traffic and headers using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and Chrome DevTools. Perform automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or similar tools. Handle continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Bamboo. Benchmark performance using tools such as LoadUI and debug deep technical issues by analyzing source code of applications. Collaborate with developers, business partners, architects, and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of systems and determine priorities. Evaluate various frameworks, technologies, and platforms to select and build custom applications. Support and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, provide detailed reports and recommendations, and proactively implement corrective actions. Coordinate work between the team and outside vendors and contractors, following an Agile process.
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, CIS, MIS, or a related field. Plus 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or 5 years in a related occupation including Applications Engineer, Software Developer, Deployment Engineer, or related experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with Linux and 1 year of experience with configuration, troubleshooting & deployment, Wireshark, tcpdump, and bash. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, or similar networking certification, is required. 40hrs/week, 8:00AM-5:00PM.
