Job Description

Primary Purpose and Function

The Solutions Architect supports the achievement of regionaland branch sales goals through direct pre-sales support and the development ofengineered and integrated solutions with associated cost estimates for theassigned Regional Sales Team.

Essential Functions &Responsibilities

  • Develop engineered solutionsthat map customer business requirements to security technology solutions
  • Generation of technicalscopes of work (SOW) and detailed design narratives for engineeredsolutions and associated cost estimates
  • Manage engineering andestimation process to include interfacing with multiple representatives ofsales, management, and customer teams
  • Analyze blueprints,construction drawings, and technical/functional design specifications toprepare compliant engineered solutions
  • Research emergingtechnologies in support of security integration solutions
  • Interface with product anddistribution partners to obtain systems, device, and equipment pricingduring engineering process
  • Support Regional Sales Teamby participating in technical discussions and meetings with customersand/or product partners
  • Support the Regional SalesTeam in customer facing ROI discussions and technical presentations
  • Maintain quality assurance byfollowing organization standards
  • Assist with other salesprojects as assigned by General Manager

Knowledge & Skills

  • High school diploma required;Bachelor s Degree in related field preferred; equivalent work experiencemay be considered in lieu of a degree
  • A minimum of 7 years relevantexperience with integrated electronic security solutions or 5 years ofexperience in a pre-sales support/engineering position
  • Industry technologycertifications such as PMP or CPP; or product specific such as SoftwareHouse, S2, Lenel, Exacq, Verint, Milestone, Salient, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment; capable of managing multiple tasks, setting priorities,and meeting deadlines
  • Must possess excellentwritten and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate withpeople via email, over the phone, and in person is required
  • Ability to maintainconfidential information
  • Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Word)
  • Strong ERP system navigationand reporting skills, SAP preferred
  • Ability to travel 20-30% toregional offices on an as needed basis
