Due to growth, Design + is seeking an experienced, hands-on architect to lead architecture design and production projects through all phases. This role will report to the president. In this role you will:

  • Lead projects by developing schedules, assigning tasks, and reviewing the work of the drafters and project managers to ensure quality and service standards are met.

  • Coordinate structural, electrical, and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation to graphically represent building plans.

  • Collaborate with clients to ensure specifications meet their standards.

  • Resolve design, construction and permit code challenges by interacting with the inspectors, engineers, contractors and other outside parties.

  • Train team members how to effectively approach and complete challenging project-based tasks.


  • Bachelors of Science degree in architectural design or related field.

  • Education requirement may be substituted for candidates with 10+ years of architectural design or interior design experience.

  • Registered Architect License.

  • National Council of Architecture Registration Board (NCARB) is a plus, but not required.

  • Five (5) or more years of drafting experience in an architectural design environment preferred.

  • Five (5) or more years of managerial experience in office environment preferred.

  • Experience utilizing architectural design software including Auto Cad, Revit preferred.

  • Ability to interpret data, organize work, handle large volumes of detail, a make decisions quickly.
